Christos Rahes

This is the largest village on the north side of the island. It is rather sparsely populated with traditional houses spread out in a dense forest. The village is known for the particular habits of the residents. For example the shops open late at night or stay open without a shopkeeper! In the summer, the island's visitors enjoy drinks and snacks in the local cafes. On August 6th there is a huge festival on the island, attended by hundreds of people.

Gialiskari

This is a small and sandy beach on the north side of the island with crystal clear waters. Here you will also find Analipseos Chapel and a small port. The area can get quite windy at times.

Faros

This is the largest beach on the southern part of Ikaria. Here you will find sand and small pebbles combined with crystal clear waters and the natural shade from trees. It is ideal for families, couples and elderly.
